"Dance and Party Favors," issued by the Rainbo Paper Favor Works, ca. 1920s. The 63-page catalog has a paper cover with a drawing of several men and women at a party wearing and surrounded by party favors; the title is also within the drawing. On the top is a rectangle with the name and address of the company on the left, and a label below this addressed to Mrs. Josephine Hood. On the bottom is the catalog number, name and address of the company, as well as, "Originators: Manufacturers: Wholesalers / Paper Hats, Novelties, Dance and Party Favors." On the back is an advertisement for rhythm band outfits. There is a large variety of paper party favors and ornaments including hats; costumes; wigs; entertainment accessories; novelties; cups; table covers; decorations; artficial flowers and plants; cards, dice, and poker chips; balloons; noisemakers; and holiday ornaments. Many black and white line drawings are included. The artifact is in poor condition with brittleness; creases; discoloration; tears; and losses to the cover.
