A hardbound set of "American Builder" magazine, published by American Carpenter & Builder Co., October 1928 - March 1929. The book has a burgundy cover with the title, volume number, and issue dates in gold on the spine. On the inside of the front cover is a label for the Detroit Public Library. Each issue within includes articles on the field of construction and architecture with such articles as "The Church Beautiful"; "Furnace Heating"; "Building Houses Fit for Heroes"; "What Kind of Roofing for the Houses You Build?"; and "What's New in Contractors' Equipment." There are also many floor plans for homes with names like "Fallston" and "Oriole," as well as other structures including some commercial buildings. Facets of interior and exterior decoration are also covered. Found throughout are many advertisements for related products, black and white photographs and illustrations, as well as some color drawings. At the back of every issue is an advertisers' index. With abrasions, fading of the gold lettering, and some surface soiling, the artifact is in overall good condition.
