|Title||"KITCHEN CRAFT: THE NEW COOKERY"|
Color: Black; Blue; Red; White
"Kitchen Craft: The New Cookery" (West Bend, Wis: The Kitchen Craft Company, 1928), 35 pp. A pamphlet-like cookbook with an image in a quarter-circle at the top left of the front cover, showing a family of three at the dinner table. The rest of the cover has a series of blue lines forming squares while triangular ray-like designs in pink, blue, and purple radiate throughout. Superceded over these designs at the bottom is the title with "Kitchen Craft" in red with black shading and the subtitle in black. The square and ray designs are repeated on the back and there is a product guarantee in a bordered box above center, the Good Housekeeping seal of approval below and the company name and place of business at the bottom. Trademark and quality information is on the inside front cover, followed by an introduction on Kitchen Craft cookware products. Statements on modern health and cooking, the proper selection of food, the care and use of Kitchen Craft products and common questions and answers precede the receipes. These consist of all kinds of foods and do not appear to be organized in any particular way. There are color illustrations of Kitchen Craft products, along with product descriptions, as well as a centerfold illustration of the full line, interspersed in the text of recipes. At the back is a food-value chart, suggestions for food combinations and combinations of Kitchen Craft cookware. The covers have some soiling, stains, creases and dogeared corners with the tops of some pages having stains, so the artifact is in fair condition.
