A sample book of paint colors from the Bradley's Flat Wall Finish Line, ca. 1920s. Printed by Bowles Publishing Corporation of San Francisco and published by the Bradley Wise Paint Co., the front cover has, at the top, the brand name in a rectangular panel with a yellow background. Below this is a colored illustration of a painter working on a wall of a house, with a living room in the background. At the bottom is the company name, logo and locations. The back cover has a logo of a painter in a can of Bradley's paint and the motto "SERVICE IN EVERY CAN" within a black circular border. On the inside front cover are directions for using the paint, while another panel on the document concerns using the paint specifically on woodwork. Two of the inside panels include a dozen color samples of the paint, including light ivory; light tan; shell pink; silver gray; interior blue; light apple green; 1/2 white; 1/2 light ivory; 1/2 light ivory, 1/2 light tan; 1/2 light ivory, 1/2 shell pink; 1/2 light ivory, 1/2 silver gray; 1/2 light ivory, 1/2 interior blue; and 1/2 light ivory, 1/2 light apple green. The samples are adhered to the pages with the title "BRADLEY'S FLAT WALL FINISH" above and information about the product below the title. A thin piece of glassine is part a and separates the color samples so they will not be damaged. The document has only a small area of soiling and acid stains from the color samples shows on the glassine, but the artifact is otherwise in good condition with little indication of wear or damage.
