"Electrical Record Retail Stores Supplement," issued by the Gage Publishing Company, June 1925 (Volume 1, Number 9.) The periodical for retailers of electric appliances and merchandise has a front cover with a red background, over which, at the top, is the title, series volume, number and date. Most of the lower portion is an advertisement bordered in a black line and with a white background for an electric iron. The back cover is an advertisement for an appliance manufacturing company. After a few more advertisements for appliances in the front, the table of contents lists five articles concerning electric refrigeration, ice cream freezers, dishwashers, ranges, and a classified list of merchandisers advertising in the publication. In the articles or lists of products, there is a manufacturer's name; model number; dimensions; material; finish; voltage; price and other information. Many products are accompanied by photographs or engravings. Scattered throughout the publication are dozens of advertisements for electric household appliances, including the abovenamed and air heaters; water heaters; fans; plugs; vacuum cleaners; vibrators; hair dryers; Christmas lights; light bulbs; hair curlers; cookers; toasters; batteries; and electric trains. There is fairly extensive surface soiling and staining on the cover, along with dented corners and creases, while there is light soiling and discoloration on most page. The back cover and last page have dogeared lower right corners and the artifact is in fair condition.
