Object Name Bottles
Description A glass chemical bottle from the Max Huncke Chemical Company, ca. 1920s. Said by the seller to be an embalming bottle, the artifact has a 5 1/4" high body with the neck and lip comprising the rest of the height. On one side, impressed on the glass, is the company name, next to which are sixteen measuring marks for ounces and four ounce delineators (at 4, 8, 12, and 16 ounces) adjacent to the marks. On the bottom is an impressed number "5" and a diamond, within which is a letter "O" or "Q" or a number "0." A metal cap is attached to the mouth of the bottle and is badly rusted, there appearing to be no identifying marks on it. No hint of the original contents is on or in the bottle, which is good condition, except for the rust on the cap.
