"GROWERS' SALES COMPANY BARGAIN BOOK, SPRING 1927"
A 48-page bargain plant catalog issued by Growers' Sales Company, 1927. The white-colored (or perhaps a faded light green) front cover has a single-line border with the words "BARGAIN BOOK / SPRING 1927 [the date underlined]" at the top. Below is an illustration of a rose, while the company name and headquarters are toward the bottom. The back cover lists a few products. On the inside front cover is a brief statement titled "About Your Rose Garden" with a couple of letters from satisfied customers below. Listings on page one begin and include a wide variety of flowers; shrubs; bushes; vines; evergreens; fruits; and ornamental and shade trees. At the back are listings for books and a two-page order form with lines for date of order; purchaser's address; nearest express office; amount of order, with a preprinted 15 cent postage and packing fee; total remittance; and columns for quantity, name of article, and price along with a total box at the bottom right of both sides. Product listings include brief descriptions, quantity by each and quantity and, in many cases, photographs. Listings are generally the same as those in item 2.1, but with reduced spring prices. In fair condition, the item has discoloration, creases, and some surface soiling on the cover and creases with a dog-eared corner on pages 31-32 on the pages.
