"TEMPLIN-BRADLEY CO. PLANT AND SEED CATALOG, CA. 1926"
Color: Black; Orange; Purple; Red
A 52-page seed and plant catalog issued by The Templin-Bradley Co., ca. 1926. The artifact is divided into parts, because the covers are separated from the text, with the front cover as part a) and having a colorful variety of flowers in red, pink, orange and purple with their item numbers next to them and a box at the upper center listing their prices. At the top are the words "FOR YOUR GARDEN," while at the bottom is the company name and headquarters. The inside has more colorful flowers, in red, pink, yellow and blue. Part b) is the back cover and has a variety of gladioli in red, purple, pink, orange, and white with their item numbers next to them. Many are in a vase, over which is a superimposed box with prices. The inside has listings for four varieties of grapes with colored images of them, as well as for asparagus and plant food. The text of the catalog is part c) and the first page describes the varieties of flowers on the front and inside front cover. An index, description of the company and ordering information with a photo of company headquarters and a statement of the company's quality and service are in the first three pages, after which product listings begin including plant food; vegetable seeds; flowers; vines; shrubs; and fruits. Descriptions include item numbers, brief descriptions, prices in each and quantity and, in some cases, photographs. Other than the separated covers, there is much cover wear and surface soiling, while the pages have small stains at the bottom, dog-eared corners and creases, so the artifact is in poor condition.
