Printed with red ink, the object has the name of the catalog within a scroll on the top left corner with the company name on the top, and the address on the bottom. Four lines for the address are on the right center which have writing in blank ink reading, "Mrs. C. B. Kennedy / Canton, / South Dakota." On the left is a line drawing of four roses and across the bottom of this are the words, "DO NOT OVERLOOK THE UNUSUAL SPECIAL COLLECTION ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THIS ENVELOPE." The offer on the back is a special trial which gives customers the option of sending one dollar in return for 8 "Charles Dingee" roses. Below this is a list of available 50 cent garden and house plants and bulbs which inludes a variety of roses; ferns; chrysanthemums; cannas; carnations; and gladioli. The object housed the catalog which is item .1; supplement .2; insert .3; order blank .4; and return envelope .5. With abrasions; brittleness; creases; darkening of the paper; folds; tearing along the flap; and overall surface soiling, the artifact is in poor condition.
