A catalog of mail boxes and push and toggle switches, issued by the Standard Electric Manufacturing Company, ca. 1920s. The 22-page booklet has a brown paper cover with the company logo at the center in gold ink within a circle. At the top is a gold crest and eagle with the word, "Standard." Below this is, "Apartment Mail Boxes / Rotary Snap / Push and Toggle Switches," in black ink. Across the bottom of the cover is the name and location of the company also in black. A black line border is around the edges. At the beginning is a foreword with notes on shipments; returned goods; prices; and terms of sales. Available for sale are many types of electric switches; toggle plates; toggle switches; snap switches; apartment mail boxes; and apartment telephone systems. Many price lists and black and white illustrations are also included. The artifact is in poor condition with abrasion; creases; fading of the gold lettering; folds; surface soiling; stains; and tears along the edges.
